New Look for the Website & a New FNG!

Howdy, everyone! I hope you enjoy the new look to the local website! In doing some research for a new blog project Mr. Ogwyn and I have been talking about, I came across this new theme, and I think it looks great. Definitely some pros and cons, but hopefully the pros outweigh the cons. We are also being hosted on a new server, and my thanks to Charlotte Church member Mr. James Hart of Stormer Hosting for helping me get set up.

I tried to pay attention to even tiny details (do you see a little icon on your brower’s tab or address bar that says “LCG Ohio”? I hope so!), and I look forward to your feedback, whether you’re fer it or agin it.

In tonight’s Friday Night Greetings, I babble a little more than usual (did you think that was possible?), discussing the importance of the church-wide fast coming next weekend, and I will try to include more coherent thoughts in my announcements for this Sabbath. Meanwhile, I have found the old “Global Church News” comments Mr. Meredith made way back in 1995. Explaining our approach in this age in which various “Churches of God” have sprung up (and continue to spring up), he said, “First of all, it is NOT Global’s policy to attack other Churches of God nor the personalities involved in another church’s leadership… Yet, each one of us will also stand before God as profitable or unprofitable servants on the basis of what we have done to further God’s Work in upholding the full Truth.” He supports those two statements, respectively, with Romans 14:10 and Matthew 16:27.

Over more than 15 years, now, Mr. Meredith and the organization he leads has been consistent in this approach, and I hope that we appreciate it.

The FNG video is below. Have a marvelous Sabbath!

(P.S. I have just watched this video myself for the first time, and I have no idea what my kids are screaming around minute 8:00. If you can decipher it, let me know!)
