Howdy, everyone! What a phenomenal trip to Charlotte! It is amazing to see what is going on in the Work and what God is putting into place, and after this week I feel more than ever that God’s fingerprints are all over our efforts to fulfill His will, as humble as they may be. I had planned on talking in more detail about the week during the fairly-long video tonight, but now that I think back I suspect that I didn’t say all I planned to say. However, I will make up for that in services and talk about the experience taping on the set with the multiple cameras and the work with the consultants and our TV crew, as well as other things that really moved me while I was there. I hope we are all thankful to be a part of what God is doing here in these days and these times!
[UPDATE: I forgot that I actually did take a picture of one of the new cameras on the studio set. It’s a “jib” that can move dynamically while it is recording. We experimented a lot with it this week to rave reviews. You can see the picture here from my Tweet that day. Click the picture to see a bigger picture. It is at an angle, so you don’t really see the length of it.]
Also, I refer to the meteor over Russia in the video below, and it strikes me that some of you may have actually not heard about it. When my wife picked me up at the airport earlier today, she had not heard about it. So, I will include a couple of embedded YouTube videos below underneath the FNG video so you can see it for yourself. (No sound on either of them, so don’t worry your volume is not the problem.) Remember, the meteor was going about 40,000 mph according to NASA and was about the size of school bus. And then below that I will include a third video that was recorded after everyone saw the meteor pass over heard and silently explode approximately 15 miles overhead, when–about two-and-a-half minutes after the explosion–the sound and shockwave of the explosion reaches the ground. Very loud, and, I’m sure, quite terrifying for many folks.
We do live in interesting times! Take care, and have a wonderful week. The FNG and other videos are below.
These are some of the videos related to the meteor over Russia. Please note: If they have any commercials on them or offer additional videos, I can’t control all of that! So, as always, surf with caution…
