Howdy, everyone, and I hope that you Sabbath is off to a peaceful and restful start. Let me say briefly here what I don’t think I remembered to say in tonight’s video: my thanks to the many of you who heard of the death of my father, Wallace G. Smith, Sr., in Texas this week and who sent your condolences. I really do appreciate it. I speak a bit of him in the video tonight. I also hold up a picture of him on my iPhone in that video which doesn’t show up too well, partly because it is on my phone, but also partly because it is a picture of a picture — it is the picture of him they had on their wall at the Chili’s restaurant in Lancaster, Texas. After posting this video, I will try and upload it from my phone and post it below the video.
Again, thanks to those who happened to find out, either from my blog or by word of mouth, about the matter and who either sent condolences or who prayed for our safe trip.
Have a wonderful Sabbath, and, if I may, I suggest spending at least a portion of it putting a little extra effort in demonstrating to your family your love and appreciation. After the resurrection, we will all have a bigger perspective on the things that irritate us and frustrate us in our families, but it is even better if we can gain that perspective in this life.
Tonight’s greetings video is below, and–after I get it uploaded–below that should be a better look at the picture of Dad I tried to show in the video. Have a beautiful Sabbath.
