My apologies — no Friday Night Greetings, tonight! Enjoy this instead

Well, I feel terrible, but I don’t have a Friday Night Greetings video to put out tonight, and I apologize to those of you who may have kept checking the website to see if one would show up.

Frankly, after Mr. & Mrs. Ames arrived and then the Robinsons, there was so much fun discussion going on that it was hard to tear myself away. And even after Mr. & Mrs. Ames retired for the evening, Mr. Robinson and I enjoyed staying up and talking about our plans for tomorrow and just plain stuff. So, here I am, posting something to say, mainly, that I have nothing to post.

However, let me not leave you completely empty handed. In honor of the Creation Weekend we are all going to enjoy here in Cincinnati this weekend, the video might be appropriate. One thing we will not get into much is God’s creative work as it is demonstrated in the human cell. The video below (which I think I may have featured on this website below) is meant to depict various workings of the immune response when a white blood cell is stopped by various processes that let it know it has a job to do. The animation demonstrating how the various proteins in your cell work and do their job — a remarkable testimony to the designing intelligence of Almighty God — is beautiful. And while there is a longer animation that is very educational and which explains each step in the process, the shorter music video featured below is, to me, beautiful all by itself: a tribute to the remarkable design that is apparent when we look at even the sub-microscopic in every one of our cells. The makers of this video, XVIVO Scientific Animations, may not have meant to create this video to support the concept of a divine Creator and Designer, but it is hard not to watch it and walk away not believing in such, even if one recognizes that the video represents some simplifications.

So, take a break from me this weekend, and enjoy this video, all while thanking God that we are “fearfully and wonderfully made” (Psalm 139:14), even at the smallest of scales!
