Howdy, everyone! I have a number of things to post tonight. First, here is my Friday Night Greetings video, in which I discuss some thoughts on the not-necessarily-evil “cares of this life” of Luke 21:34… (Note: I say in the video that I hoped I had properly adjusted the input levels of the microphone so that the cracks and pops would be gone. But I notice that they are still there. Sorry!)
Then, here is a link to a post I wrote last night about my first Council of Elders meeting and how thankful I was to be there: “Reflections on my first Council of Elders meeting.” (I covered some of this in my sermon last weekend and will touch on it in Cincy and Columbus tomorrow.)
Finally, here is what I think is a beautiful video from NASA — a timelapse video collage taken from the International Space Station set to some beautiful music. I think it is an amazing video; we’ve even plugged my laptop into our television so that we could see it on the big screen. If I recall, during one of the night time flyovers you can see the lights of, I think, Cincinnati, Columbus, Akron, and Cleveland. I might even watch it again tonight to be sure. But don’t let hunting for your own porch light distract you from the sights and sounds of the video — and consider how one day we may be able to see such things first hand as glorified servants of the King of Kings. The video is below.
Have a beautiful Sabbath!
