Staying connected — plus a nice, simple argument for God’s existence

Howdy, everyone! The Friday Night Greetings video for tonight is below, in which I discuss some of my family’s recent “wrestlings” with technology and a meditation from that. In addition, I came across a nice animated video discussing one of the more popular arguments for God’s existence — called the “Kalam Cosmological Argument” and popularized by Dr. William Lane Craig. It’s simple and easy to follow and it tends to give atheists fits, which is always nice. 🙂 Of course, we all have our own reasons for believing in God’s existence, and Mr. Armstrong used to discuss his reasons powerfully! Maybe this Sabbath you and someone else can discuss with each other why you, personally, believe the truth of Hebrews 1:6 — That God exists and is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Again, tonight’s video is below. Then below that is the one about the cosmological argument for God’s existence.

[EDIT: 11/8/2013, 10:00PM – As Jeanine and I were sitting here in our hotel room talking about it, it struck me that the Kalam is very much like a formalization of Mr. Armstrong’s thoughts that the material universe had to have a beginning, therefore there must be a Creator of the universe. It’s amazing how hard some people work to escape that conclusion!]
